Searching for a social media platform
This video inspired me to search for a platform for writers. Where I can share a piece of my process every day, this is a daily dispatch and is what I want to do while writing my stories.
I enjoyed learning about how work is being done. The trials and errors that go into it. As well as the things left behind that you wouldn’t know from the work itself. For example; Sora’s earlier design was this;
Sora is the main character of the game series Kingdom Hearts, which is a collaboration between Disney and Square. So you can guess who wasn’t a fan of the chainsaw.
Searching for a place

I tried X or Twitter, by posting a daily dispatch until something happened and all my posts disappeared. I wrote them all down first. So it didn’t bother me much, but I stopped using it.
Maybe it’s because I posted daily. Regardless, I’ll change daily dispatch to weekly or monthly dispatch to avoid being spammy.
Admittedly, I was already hesitant about using it. None of the things it showed me caught my eye.
I did enjoy making short posts for a week and adding pictures. Looking back, I was about to make the same mistake I did with Instagram only posting but not engaging with others. You know the social part about being on social media. I should make sure I like the platform first before I post on it.
During my search for a platform to use, Medium came up. I didn’t know about it, so I tried it.
A platform for writers.
I liked reading Articles.
Medium had completed all of my requirements.
I can even make money off writing articles. That was a bonus.
A multitude of social media platforms exist, more than just the well-known ones like Twitter or Instagram. I find Medium by searching social media platforms for writers on YouTube. I like YouTube and I want to make videos too, but I need a platform that showcases just my writing.
My advice is that if you are searching for a platform, think about what you want from it, and see if you like it. Also, it doesn’t hurt to do a little bit of research.
